Loving God, you sent your beloved Son Jesus into the world to reveal You and to show us Your merciful face. Help us to receive Him with renewed commitment to share His mission. We desire to help all people move toward the oneness that is your will for us and for all of creation.

December 19 - Immigrants and Refugees

We pray for immigrants and refugees around the world:

May they be comforted as they experience fear, loss and change.

May they find healing, welcome and home among the communities who receive them, and may each of us find ways to respond accordingly.

May leaders of governments work for legislation that recognizes the dignity of immigrants and refugees and embraces them as brothers and sisters, giving them hope and peace.
